Camping

Some people come to the island to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature. Families go camping to spend real time together, and youth groups come to learn how to pitch a tent and build a fire. Our vast green gardens are made for it.

Camping prices

• Our tents: UGX 50,000 per person, per night, including breakfast, bedding and toiletries. Tent sizes for 1, 2 and 5 people.
• Bring your own tent: UGX 30,000 (about US$8) per person, per night.

Campfire evenings

In certain seasons Kalangala gets quite cool in the evenings, so we light a camp fire where you can enjoy a drink from the bar. It is where visitors from different parts of Uganda and the world share stories about their homes and cultures, and sometimes form lifetime friendships.
