Philo is a small, family-run garden hotel in Kalangala: cottages set among big shady trees, hammocks and swings, with Lutoboka Forest Reserve right at our boundary.
You will wake to birdsong and monkeys in the avocado trees, eat home-cooked local and continental meals, and be looked after by people who know your name by evening. Simple, clean, safe and calm.

Ferries to Buggala Island depart from Nakiwogo (Entebbe). The MV. Kalangala takes around 3 hours; a faster speedboat transfer takes about 1 hour.
